Plexus Releases Version 1.6 Terrapene Process Management Suite™
St. Paul, MN, August 18, 2006 – Plexus Corporation, a leader in the research, design, development and application the process approach (process-based) management, and the world leader in providing training and tools for the process approach to management, announces today the release of version 1.6 of its widely acclaimed Terrapene Process Management Suite™ software. Version 1.6 includes several enhancements; the most evident and most important for multi-national organizations is the software’s multi-language capabilities. You can now choose from several languages (with more coming) for your process approach to management via Terrapene Process Management Suite™.
If you haven’t heard as yet, Terrapene Process Management Suite™ is a software tool that comes to the aid of all facets of an organization’s management system. For those with quality system concerns, it automates many of the time-consuming tasks associated with achieving compliance to a set of quality requirements freeing up time for bottom line improvements; for those who want to review the performance of the organization’s system of processes in real time it makes that possible; for all employees who need to understand their contribution to the organization, the answer is only a click away; and for any management system auditor to plan, conduct and report an audit, there is nothing in the marketplace that compares to Terrapene Process Management Suite™.
The impetus for Version 1.6 came about from a need to accommodate Korean- and Spanish-speaking clients. “The international demand for Terrapene forced us to reassess our development plans,” stated Dr. Alan Peterson, President of Plexus Corporation and who has overseen the development of Terrapene from its beginnings in 2001. “Terrapene Version 1.6 supports Plexus’ need to support large employers whose enterprises cross many borders and, therefore, need to support several languages. Multi-language capability has always been important to Plexus with our presence in several countries, but we feel it is strategically important to us at this time as we aggressively move to enter key markets outside the United States.” Version 1.6 of Terrapene’s interface will support Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and English languages. “We took the time to build a ‘translation engine’ unique to Plexus’ and Terrapene’s needs. This will allow us to add other languages efficiently and effectively.” Plexus clients will now be able to switch to any of the supported languages at any time without reinstallation.
A true breakthrough in effective management of an organization that recognizes and wants the many benefits of process-based management, Terrapene provides managers at all levels improved visibility resulting in benefits from more accurate resource application and focused process improvements. Since the initial release of Version 1.0 in 2004, Terrapene has been used successfully by both small and large companies in the United States and is the only process-based management software distributed by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). One client, Cadillac Products Automotive Company, has reported a dramatic first-year savings with Terrapene.
Dennis Gentry, ASQ-CQA and Corporate Quality Director and Andy Stone, Rogers City Plant Quality Management Director, of Cadillac Products Automotive Company, announced to the world in several conferences and news articles that their application of process-based management using Terrapene Process Management Suite as the platform saved the Rogers City site (of just over 100 employees) $1.1 million in the first full year of application. They recently reported similar positive results in their second year of Terrapene use.
The Terrapene Process Management Suite™ is available in a variety of purchasing options with a 90-day trial period. Call 1-877-TURTLE4 (1-877-887-8534) for more information.
